I couldn’t think of a better way to start off the New Year than with a newborn session! I have been waiting on little Miss Emma’s arrival since I did her mom’s maternity photos in November. She was worth the wait!
One of the photos I was so excited to take that day was a recreation of one of her maternity pictures. I love how it came out!
There’s noting more special than spending a morning with a newborn. This one wasn’t any different. Except maybe because I got to also spend the morning with her mom, who happens to be a friend of mine. Caitlin was very cooperative!
She also was a little monster baby! I was afraid she wouldn’t fit on my scale…but I am so glad she did!
This little guy is extra special to me. He’s my newest nephew! He was also one of my best newborns ever. Slept the entire time {didn’t pee or poop on any of my stuff!} and let me do whatever I wanted with him.
Meet Aubrey! She’s Reid’s older cousin {by one hour}. Not only was I there for Reid’s birth, but I was able to meet Aubrey when she was just minutes old. These two sure like to do things together! We had their newborn sessions together on the same day. They both gave me a run for my money. They took turns messing my blankets…but it was so worth it!

Meet Dylan! After mom’s maternity session, I couldn’t wait to get the phone call that baby Dylan had arrived.
When I came home from vacation, I hit the ground running! Brady was my first session since coming back. 
I felt like I had come full circle when I photographed Eleanor’s newborn pictures. Her parents were my very first clients. I shot their engagement session back in 2009!
I was so excited when they contacted me to photograph their precious baby girl!
Little Sid wanted no parts of sleeping when I arrived to shoot his newborn session. We made due with a very awake baby!
I promised baby Landon today! Yesterday, I shared with you mom’s maternity session. I recently met up with the “H” family again before they headed west for a big move. I will miss photographing their little family but wish them all the best.
Sweet baby J was my first newborn of 2012! I patiently awaited his arrival and when I got word he was here, I got excited. I love doing newborns. Though the sessions may be longer than a lifestyle session, they are calm, peaceful, and give me my baby fix!
