Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a full-time photographer?
I am so happy to say that I am now a full-time photographer. I also work at home writing for Picaboo’s blog. But my biggest job is being a mom to my two boys!

Do you have a studio?
I do not have a studio. I am an on- location photographer.  I use local fields, parks and just about anywhere. I am always looking for new locations so please let me know if you have a great place in mind. For newborn sessions I come to your home with all of my equipment and props.

Why do I have to pay a session fee and sign a contract?
This protects everyone involved.  It allows me to schedule your photo shoot, and to count on you being there at the previously agreed-upon time.  It gives you reassurance that I will be there, photographing you and your family and that I am completely committed to your session.  The contract allows both parties to be in agreement and fully aware of what is expected of them.

How do I choose a location for my session?
If you don’t have a session location in mind, just let me know and I can assist you in choosing a spot. My most popular locations have been:

  • Longwood Gardens {additional fee}
  • Tyler Arboretum {additoonal fee}
  • Valley Forge National Park
  • Red Bank Park
  • Brandywine River Park
  • Prophecy Creek Park

Do you charge extra if we are not local?
If you are located within 30 miles of the zip code 19473, then there is no extra fee. If you are outside that area, an additional fee of $.50/mile will apply.

When shoot I book my session?
It is never to early to book your session! For newborn sessions, I recommend booking at least 6-10 weeks before baby’s due date to ensure availability. I will pencil in your due date on my calender. When your baby is born,give me a call so we can get a date set. For all other sessions I recommend booking at least 4-6 weeks before you would like to have your session. Certain times of the year fill up quickly {especially in the fall}!

How do I book a session with you?
A $75 NON-REFUNDABLE retainer is due at the time of booking. Please e-mail me to book your session.

Do you offer re-shoots?
Yes and No. If a child is particularly fussy, gets sick during the session, or is having an off day, I will let you know if we should just call it a day and try again later. Normally, we can judge this within the first 10-15 minutes of the session.

Do you allow rescheduling?
Under certain circumstances.  I completely understand if a child {or yourself} get sick prior to the session.

When should I schedule my maternity/newborn session?
Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 31 and 35 weeks. Your belly should be big enough to be the focus. However, you should avoid scheduling too close to your due date. Babies like to surprise us! Plus, I want you to be as comfy as you can be.

Newborn sessions are typically booked within the first ten days of life. This ensures that baby is extra sleepy. We will “schedule” your newborn session around your due date but nothing will be guarenteed until after you have the baby. Just call me when you get home {or the minute the baby is born. Yes, this has happened!} and we will get you on the calendar.

How soon after my session will I be able to view my images?
Images from your session with will be available approximately 2-3 weeks after your session date. Your images will be presented in a private, password protected online gallery. You will receive an email when your images are posted along with your gallery’s password. Please feel free to share your gallery with family and friends.

Your gallery will be live for 2 weeks. You may place an order for any prints or custom products during those 2 weeks. Payment for your order is due in full when you place your order. Orders will not be placed until payment is received.

Why does it take so long?
After your session, I am busy “developing” your photographs. I touch {edit} every image that will be placed in your online gallery and that takes time!

How do I order prints or products from my session?
At this time, I do not have online ordering {but working on it!}. After your session, I will email you a print and product pricing guide. Once you decided on your order, simply email me with the gallery image number and size. If you are ordering an album, I will send you an album ordering form. Once I design your album, you will be emailed an online proof for your approval. Please note that all orders will not be placed until payment is received. Print orders normally take 2-3 weeks. Specialty items such as albums, canvases, storyboard, or press print cards take more time to create, and will generally arrive separately form your print order.

Can my family order?
Yes.  You may give your online gallery link to your family. They can then email me their print order. They will receive a 15% a la carte discount if they order within 2 weeks of your gallery being live.
